MO First Step Brochure

Missouri First Steps is the state's early intervention system for infants and toddlers and provides family-centered supports to help children with developmental needs. The brochure explains eligibility, referral, evaluation, IFSP planning, and how services are coordinated through a service coordinator and Early Intervention Team. Families can learn how services are provided in natural environments and how plans are reviewed and transitioned as children approach age three. Learn more on the DESE site . 2026 Missouri Suicide Prevention Conference

The 2026 Missouri Suicide Prevention Conference will be held July 9, 2026 at the Wyndham Executive Center in Columbia, MO. The event is open to community members, first responders, clinicians, educators, people with lived experience, and others. The conference is free to attend; a $20 fee applies only for continuing education credit. Featured speakers include Stacey Freedenthal, PhD, LCSW, and Carey Portell, with continuing education offered through the Missouri Behavioral Health Council.
