Kemp Lake Flyer for Disabled
Kemp Lake is a 19-acre lake on a 215-acre property about an hour west of St. Louis, offering fishing, hunting, birdwatching, and trail exploring specifically for people who are physically or mentally challenged.
Floating "breakaway" docks make fishing accessible, two heated and accessible hunting blinds are available for turkey, deer, and rabbit hunts, and a motorized wheelchair can be provided if needed.
A new lakeside pavilion holds 80+ people with wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and all activities and food are completely free thanks to donors and volunteers.
Email Fun@KempLake.org to arrange an event, donate, or volunteer, or visit KempLake.org for more information.
