Crawford County Substance Use Prevention Coalition
The Crawford County Substance Use Prevention Coalition delivers prevention education for parents and youth in Crawford County. Its mission is to help youth build healthy lifestyles free of addictive substance use, with a focus on preventing first-time use of vapes, alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco.
The coalition has applied to be recognized as a Missouri registered coalition with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, which includes membership with the Missouri Prevention Network. Its work centers on stopping first-time substance use among area youth as a key step in preventing progression to more serious drugs, including opioids.
